How Does It Work?
Working in a summer camp kitchen with our Camp Kitchen USA will grant you a J-1 work and travel visa. After your camp placement ends, you will have a maximum of 30 days to travel the USA. Where you go and what you do is entirely up to you! While many participants have a rough idea of travel plans, once you make new friends at camp you might find new ideas and exciting opportunities, all inspired by the best local knowledge and insider tips.

Where Do I Go?
The USA is a pretty big place – it’s filled with famous cities, iconic landmarks and breathtaking national parks from coast to coast. How you explore it is completely up to you! You might aim to explore as much as possible in a single trip or focus on that specific state or destination you’ve always dreamed of visiting. Looking for more time to travel? It was the best summer I’ve ever had. I made amazing friends from many countries and learnt more about other cultures and even languages. These friends remain my second family.

Working at camp and the whole experience of going to the USA was amazing. I had the opportunity to meet many interesting people, learn about American culture and improve my language skills.
Going to camp and getting to travel around the states has been the best thing I’ve ever done! The people I met I now consider some of my closest friends. I will always recommend Camp America.
I knew it was going to be a good experience, however, it turned out to be an unexpected experience! I met wonderful people from Poland and Hungary, and from the first day had wonderful connection.
